Yeti
Yeti is a Bellingham School District reading celebration and competition open to 4th and 5th grade students. In teams of 4, students read all ten books on the list. The elementary librarians work hard to select diverse, accessible, high quality books to include.
At Cozier, the emphasis is on fun, fostering the joy of reading, and discovering new genre and authors. The competition aspect is important for some students, but not the focus at Roosevelt. Participating in the culminating competitions is absolutely optional. However, once committed to a team, students are expected to follow through.
The grade level competition will be held at Cozier during the week of April 13. The highest scoring teams from each school will compete in an asynchronous district competition during the week of April 20.
